About the event

Set in this beautiful and resonant space, the programme spans centuries, from the medieval genius Guillaume de Machaut and Renaissance master William Byrd, to 20th-century composers including Herbert Howells and our own President Emeritus, Raymond Warren.

Raymond, who sadly passed away in June 2025, was a distinguished composer and teacher, and a loyal supporter of Bristol Chamber Choir for many years. He worshipped at St Paul’s Church, and we are honoured to commemorate his remarkable contribution to choral music in the very space that was so important to him.

Audiences can expect a journey through rich harmonies and expressive textures, from contemplative meditative works to joyous, celebratory pieces.

Join us at St Paul’s for a summer’s evening of evocative, beautifully crafted music, and celebrate the enduring legacy of a composer whose work shaped Bristol’s choral music scene and enriched the life of Bristol Chamber Choir.

Tickets: to buy online via Eventbrite click here, or alternatively, if you know a member of the choir, they can purchase tickets for you at rehearsal to save on those pesky booking fees! We will also likely have tickets for sale at the door.
