Join us for Songs of Farewell, Bristol Chamber Choir’s annual Remembrance Sunday concert at the beautiful St Monica’s Trust Chapel in Bristol.
This year’s programme brings together choral music from across the centuries, exploring themes of remembrance, loss and farewell. The programme includes some of the great names of the choral tradition, from Renaissance composers Josquin des Prez and William Byrd to English masters including Herbert Howells, Hubert Parry and Charles Villiers Stanford.
Herbert Howells’ deeply moving music and Parry’s much-loved choral works sit alongside more contemporary pieces, including music by Cecilia McDowall and our own MD, Dr David Bednall. The programme also features a new work written for the choir by our President, composer John Pickard.
Join us for an afternoon of music and reflection as we mark Remembrance Sunday together.
Admission is free, with a retiring collection in aid of Bristol Chamber Choir.
